The XVI Scientific Meeting of FAO UFMG

Since 1977, the Faculty of Dentistry (FAO) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) has been organizing, through the Research Advisory Center (NAPq), in partnership with the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Boards, the Scientific Meetings of FAO UFMG. It is widely recognized in the state of Minas Gerais and has the growing participation of Dentistry faculties from Minas Gerais and other states, serving as an important benchmark for quality, excellence, and the dissemination of research in Dentistry.

The XVI Scientific Meeting will return to in-person format from June 14 to 16, 2023, with the main theme being: Dental Research: from local to global. Registration will be free. We will also celebrate the 45th anniversary of our postgraduate program. Lectures by nationally and internationally renowned professors and researchers are planned, along with three roundtable discussions and two panel discussions.

The presentation of scientific papers will again be in person, in the form of posters, and divided into the following categories: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Professional Master’s, Undergraduate Thesis, Collective Health Internship, and Extension Work, with awards for each category. The presented works will have their abstracts published in a special issue of our journal, Arquivos em Odontologia.
