Doctoral (Ph. D) Program & Master Degree Scholarships
The selection process for scholarship recipients in the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry occurs annually following the admission process for Academic Master’s and Ph.D. students. For the selection, the Collegiate Committee appoints a commission composed of faculty members and a student (not participating in the process) who will assess each of the applications and their respective documentation. After this assessment, a ranking table is published, determining which students will be awarded scholarships.
The Postgraduate Program in Dentistry has a variable quota of scholarships granted by CNPq, CAPES, and FAPEMIG, depending on the program’s evaluation by CAPES. This evaluation includes, among other criteria, the dedication of the student body to the program, with factors such as student flow, duration of student titulation, and intellectual production being assessed. It is essential to highlight that there is no guarantee of a scholarship for all students, nor automatic renewal each year.
The scholarships are intended for students without a labor contract or engaged in paid professional activities, dedicating themselves entirely to Postgraduate activities. Ph.D. scholarships have a maximum duration of 48 months, following the deadlines for titulation and other rules presented in this CALL. We recommend a careful reading of the general rules governing the granting of scholarships. Specific regulations can be consulted on the funding agencies’ websites.
